VoIP Telephony - Description


VoIP is a technology that is used to send voice information in the form of digital data packets, over Internet Protocol, as opposed to using traditional telephone lines. VoIP calls can be placed either from an ordinary telephone (broadband phone), or from a computer, using PC-to-Phone software.

VoIP Telephony has proven to be a considerably cheaper and more efficient way to make phone calls, and has become one of the fastest growing trends in telecommunications.
